3. Seatbelts and Passenger Safety

Passenger safety is a shared responsibility between drivers and occupants.

• Seatbelt Usage:
  All passengers must wear seatbelts at all times, regardless of seating position. The driver is responsible for ensuring compliance before the vehicle moves.

• Child Protection:
  Children under 12 years must be secured in age-appropriate child safety seats. Infants must be placed in rear-facing seats, while older children must use booster seats until they meet height and weight requirements.

• Motorcycle Safety:
  Motorcyclists and passengers must wear certified helmets that meet Novarkian safety standards. Additional protective gear, such as gloves and jackets, is strongly recommended.

• Penalties:
  Failure to comply results in fines and penalty points for the driver.
